Tourism and Global Pollution

By Bernard

Jet liners use a lot of fuel, cars are too numerous along our city streets and trains and boats pollute as well. This is another thing that has people criticizing the travel industry of today. With organizations around the world preaching to reducing fuel output in order to solve global warming and our greenhouse gas emissions, people are no longer travelling to the extent of years previous. Instead, they figure that they could do without two vacations a year and go with one. Or better yet, travel shorter distances on the second vacation. Both options reduce the amount of money that is being spent by consumers in order to save our planet. Not that spending money is more important, it is just that peoples’ mentality have changed from spending money to travel and go on vacation to making sacrifices in order to help our planet. That is a sacrifice which costs the economy.
